The Wizarding World of Harry Potter met all my hopes and dreams. Well, almost. The butterbeer was amazing, and I got to play with Dumbledore's wand. I also got a tour of Hogwarts on a virtual broomstick, but it made me motion sick so I closed my eyes for most of it. I kind of wish I didn't get motion sick so I could have enjoyed that because it probably would have beaten any dream I've ever had about flying, but such is life. My pharmacist had an unfortunate experience with the trash can after the ride, but he was right as rain soon after. The dragon ride he went on earlier probably did him in.
My brother got married on Friday. I tried really hard not to cry. I was doing really well until my brother started tearing up, and I'm kind of a chain crier, so it was downhill from there. My makeup was mostly fine though. Aside from the wedding and gaining a most awesome sister-in-law, the highlight of the trip was seeing my sisters and nieces and nephews. I see them so infrequently that every time we meet it's like getting to know new little people because they've grown up and changed so much since the last time.
All in all, a spectacular trip. The last day the pharmacist and I were able to take a walk on the beach before heading to the airport. My hair smelled like the sea the rest of the day. *sigh*
Oh, I got a job. That was the other thing that's happened since last post. I'm not sure when I start yet, but I am excited! It's a part-time job, which works out just perfect. I'll be able to continue teaching piano lessons and doing freelance work on the side. *thumbs up*

Bloggidy blog blog
The first post is always the hardest, I feel like. It's 2 a.m. There really is no call to be clever at this hour. But, at the very least, I can say it's done. Hello bloggy world. It's been a while. Too long, really. I've needed something to occupy my time more, and here you were the whole time just waiting for me to come over and ask if you wanted to play. I suppose an entirely new blog wasn't absolutely necessary, but the old one was... old. And I like new things. And it's free (that bit's important).
Why the name? I just rather liked it. Letters, especially hand-written ones, have always charmed me. My love and I wrote letters to each other when we were dating, and we enjoy writing notes and special emails to each other now. To me, they're precious and items I hold very near and dear to my heart. So I think the name suits.
If you've stumbled upon this blog by accident, well, I hope you enjoy. Otherwise, you're probably my mom or my mom-in-law to whom I promise to try and post lots of pictures and update regularly.
Thanks. That's all for now.
